Submitting And Examining

Submit yourselves to the Lord, resist the Devil and he shall flee from you (James 4:7).

Let us take a look at this infamous verse. Submit: 1: to commit to the discretion or decision of another or of others. 2: Yield, surrender 3: to put forward as an opinion. Submitting to the Lord means to do, His will not our will. To be obedient to His spiritual laws, His laws of living on the Earth and in this earth, this is to submit to God. Oh how we like to say we go to church, we pray, we read the bible. My brothers and sisters this is not submitting to God, even though it is part of it. The word of God gives us many examples of submission to the Lord Jesus. Put yourself in David's shoes; such a heart for God! Yet, as the Lord told him NOT to build the temple (2 Samuel 7:5, 12-13). He submitted even though his heart and all that was within him desired to build a place for the Lord to dwell. How about Paul as his brother in Christ bound his own hands. Telling Paul that his fate in Jerusalem was chains. Regardless, Paul went forth knowing that exceeding persecution awaited him. We must pick up our cross all the while submitting to the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies us. Pointing out our individual sins. Showing us where we, as God's people are having fellowship with the throne of iniquity. He strengthens us to break the fellowship that we have with the Devil and his demons as we respond to HIS prodding to stop sinning in our actions by purifying our souls . Keeping our minds singularly on Christ Jesus. Beloved of the Lord Jesus Christ this is sanctification, which is submitting to the Lord.

If you're murdering; stop murdering. If you're lying, cheating; stop lying or cheating. We do not need a "word from the Lord" to know that these things are evil and of the devil. He gave us the law to show us these basic things. We must examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith, don't we know that Christ Jesus is in us? Except we continue in our sins (2Corinthians 13:5). We must look at the things we are doing, we must listen to the things that we are saying are they of God? Are they in vain? Lord forbid that our mouths pour curses, showing us our heart. Lord forbid that our physical actions do not shine forth the Glory of God in our lives. Are our lights hid under the bed of sin? We must look hard at our lives; a deep look, an honest look, we must find the sin in our lives and root it out if we expect the Lord to remove the demons that are causing or assisting us to sin. For as it is written that man is driven away by his own lust and enticed. The enticer, the Devil he seeks to steal, kill and to destroy us. He does this through our sin we must examine and root out that sin in our life so that the Lord may free us from the bondage of the evil one. For my friends the truth shall set you free.

Many of us have difficulty with recurring sin. Often times the problem is that we have not totally cleansed the demonic presence in our houses. We have items that we should not have. Not necessarily evil looking items. Often times they are Christian items: Angels, crosses, pictures, etc. You can see what I mean by going to our parchment page and reading the short description and see how Satan uses the name of Jesus. When the evil one rises up from within and around us tempting us with our past sins we must stand firm, resist in the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. We must pray, sing, force our thoughts to think on holy things. When he comes against us to argue, to be angry, to belittle those around us, to gossip, to lust, to open up that website with pornography we must resist and stand firm that the evil ones may flee from us. We must ask forgiveness, we must renounce. That means to confess and forsake that particular difficulty in our life. The Lord Jesus is faithful to heal us and deliver us, to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

More often than not the real problem is that we have not fully cleansed ourselves from all of our demons. We have not fully submitted to God. We have not fully examined ourselves closing and removing all doors in our lives. The demons that we miss, over time, bind themselves together; as an example Lust, Hate and gossip; these 3 become one. Gossip being the predominate manifesting sin in an individuals life, with Lust only rarely showing his ugly head and with hate binding them all together. We see this same (concept) instruction in its reverse in (Colossians 3:12-14). In effect the 3 demons have teamed up to ensure that the gossiping continues- so that they can all stay. As the Lord has shown me through Judges 2:3. The outward manifestation, in this example gossip, is the sign and/or symbol. That is to say the altar. And the Lord Jesus will not drive the demons out as long as the sin remains active in the life of the believer. This can also be considered the stronghold.

The binding 'agent' Hate may or may not have any legal grounds to be there. If he does then he is what we call the root. The ax must be laid to the root. If we miss Hate, the root in this example, then he will immediately work overtime to get his boss gossip back. You will know for the gossiping starts up again. Lust being a mere soldier for added strength naturally works with Hate to bring this about. Adding his strength and those under his charge to full battle in unison with Hate to over power us, the believers. Lust also will assist in bringing others in to strengthen their hold such as: condemnation, guilt, shame, fear, doubt, etc. by rearing his ugly head.

Therefore the altar of gossip is now almost impossible to stop. Hate & lust rarely manifest in the physical but ensure that the gossip continues by manifesting when you try to quit gossiping. Like a very strong and sophisticated "tag team" that also often times attack all at once. The result is that you fall back into the same old sin, seemingly unable to get free from our past sins and weakness. They keep cropping back up and we are unable to resist and stand firm under the onslaught. As long as the gossip continues Gossip the boss demon get to stay as well as his bonded demons, in this example hate & lust. My friends if we will examine ourselves, submit to the Word of God and resist the evil one he shall flee and the Lord our God, the Lord of Hosts shall rend the Heavens and come down and set his people free. Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus you alone are holy and righteous and perfect I glorify thee and give thee thanks Oh Lord. I ask you Holy Spirit to anoint the words of this teaching that it may come alive in the hearts, minds and mouths of your people. Show us the truth of our past of how it has opened doors in our life that the evil one may harm us and keep us from you. Show us the hurts and tears from the sins in our lives on our souls as we examine ourselves to see if we are in you fully and totally. Show us our secret sins, the sins of our inner man Oh Lord that we may root out the enemy by your strength Father not by ours. For we know it is by your spirit that we are conquerors let us change our actions. Let us put an axe to the root through your mercy and grace. Lord, let not the evil one keep us from this self-examination but strengthen us by thy hand that your truth shall set us free. Surround us Oh Lord with thy holy angels that they may assist us. Let us not faint. Let us arise in you Oh Lord. You are faithful to complete the work that you have began in us. We ask you Lord to complete that work even now by your power, by your love, by your mercy, by your grace. In the Name of Jesus Amen and Amen.

Scripture References In Order of Appearance
1. James 4:5-8 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
2. 2 Samuel 7:5, 12-13 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
3.2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
4. Acts 21:4, 10-14 And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem. And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
5. Ps. 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
6. 1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
7. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
8.James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
9. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
10. Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
